'One million books' to restore Lebanon’s war-damaged libraries
In Tripoli, cultural institutions, universities, publishers and individuals are joining forces to rebuild collections destroyed during the war and preserve the country’s memory.

What remains of a community’s memory when its library disappears? This urgent question is being addressed by the “One Million Books for Lebanon” campaign, launched in Tripoli by Taleed, the National Network for the Protection of Libraries, Archives and Cultural Heritage in Lebanon.
