BEIRUT — The foreign affairs and emigrants ministry condemned "in the strongest terms the violation of the security and sovereignty of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," referring to "the attempt to target its oil facilities in the eastern region and the Riyadh area using drones launched from Iraqi territory," amid renewed attacks between Tehran and Washington in the Middle East.

In a statement relayed by the state-run National News Agency (NNA), it expressed "Lebanon’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia" as well as "its complete commitment to its security, stability and the integrity of its territory."

The ministry also welcomed the announcement by the Iraqi authorities of the opening of an investigation into this incident, emphasizing that "the fight against military activities by non-state actors, notably in Iraq, Lebanon and Yemen, is a shared and ongoing struggle," in order to allow these states "to exercise their authority and sovereignty over their entire territory through their own legitimate forces only."

Furthermore, the ministry reiterated "its strong condemnation of the firing of Iranian ballistic missiles toward Jordanian territory as acknowledged by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard themselves," considering these attacks "a flagrant violation of Jordan’s sovereignty and a threat to regional security and stability."
