Zamir from Beaufort Castle: Israeli army 'controls surface positions, passageways and underground facilities'
Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, who toured the heights of Beaufort Castle in the Nabatieh district on Sunday, described the area as "a strategic site filled with terrorist infrastructure."
"Today, our forces control the key surface positions, as well as passageways and underground facilities," he said, according to comments reported by the Israeli military's Arabic-language spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, on his X account.
Zamir said the Israeli army would "continue to act decisively to eliminate threats emanating from Lebanese territory" and were "prepared to launch offensive operations swiftly in the event of a cease-fire violation."
He also said that the Lebanese Army "must uphold its commitments under the historic agreement signed in Washington on June 22 between Lebanese and Israeli negotiators and work to clear the area of Hezbollah terrorist elements."
According to Zamir, Hezbollah "has been exhausted and has suffered defeats in every confrontation with our forces." He further claimed that, for decades, "with Iranian funding and direction, Hezbollah built networks and underground tunnels in this area with the aim of threatening communities in northern Israel."
Iran and Qatar resume maritime trade, according to Iranian state media
Maritime trade between Iran and Qatar has resumed after a suspension of about five months, Iran's commercial attaché in Doha told Iranian state media on Sunday, according to Reuters.
A provisional agreement signed last month between Tehran and Washington declared an end to hostilities after four months of conflict and called for a return to pre-war maritime traffic in the Gulf, although shipping to and from the Gulf remains contested.
Abbas Abdolkhani said maritime traffic between Iran's Port of Dayyer and Qatar's Port of Al Ruwais had resumed following coordination between the Iranian embassy in Doha and Qatari authorities.
The two ports, located directly opposite each other across the Gulf, are primarily used for regional trade. The Port of Dayyer was hit several times during the war.
In late June, an official from Iran's Trade Promotion Organization told state media that Iranian goods were once again being cleared through customs at Jebel Ali Port in the United Arab Emirates, the largest port in the region, signaling a gradual recovery in commercial exchanges between the two sides of the Gulf.

The funeral procession was attended by MPs Ali Khreiss and Inaya Ezzeddine, as well as local religious and political figures. A large crowd gathered to pay tribute to the victims.
During the ceremony, Khreiss stressed the importance of "maintaining unity and focusing on what brings the Lebanese together rather than what divides them."
"We oppose any direct agreement with an occupying entity that has committed hundreds of massacres against our people. What is needed now is Israel's withdrawal from all occupied territories and the return of residents to their villages and towns," he added, referring to the framework agreement signed between Lebanon and Israel in Washington.
The victims were buried in the cemetery of Shehour village.

Ezzeddine follows up on water outages at Sour pumping station
Amal MP Inaya Ezzeddine said she is closely monitoring water outages affecting around 20 villages and towns in the Sour district after all 10 pumps at the Batoulieh pumping station went out of service.
The station supplies water to more than 40,000 people, including residents who returned to their villages following Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon, displaced people from border villages and communities that have long suffered from water shortages.
Ezzeddine said she contacted Sonia Elias, UNICEF's south Lebanon water sector coordinator, urging her to "speed up repair work because of the humanitarian, health and living conditions resulting from this prolonged outage, especially during the summer and given the exceptional circumstances facing the people of the South."
Following a series of contacts, Ezzeddine said an agreement had been reached with a contractor to reinstall five pumps by the middle of next week, allowing a large part of the station to resume operations and water pumping to gradually restart. The remaining five pumps will be repaired and reinstalled after the first phase is completed, with the aim of restoring the station's full operating capacity as soon as possible.

"To those who oppose this agreement, I say that I am waiting for any solution or any agreement that will allow us to get out of the war," the president said.
"I am not in favor of Israel, but propose another solution, whatever it may be, and I will implement it," he added.
"The situation today is different from that of May 17 [1983, when a previous agreement with Israel was signed but never implemented]. We must not forget that everyone contacted me and approved these measures," Aoun said.
