SOUTH LEBANON — Sour's Municipality has announced the opening of the beach tent season at the Sour Coast Nature Reserve, marking the start of the summer season and "welcoming visitors in a safe and well-organized environment," it said in a statement.
The municipality said the beach tents are now ready to receive visitors daily after "all necessary preparations were completed to provide the best possible services, including shaded tents and a family-friendly atmosphere."
Sour Municipality invited citizens, residents, and visitors to enjoy the city’s beaches and tourist facilities, "wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable summer season."
It also stressed the importance of following environmental guidelines to help maintain cleanliness and protect the natural surroundings.
Sour's public beach is one of the largest public beaches in Lebanon, with its sandy shoreline stretching around 2.5 km.
During the full scale-war between Hezbollah and Israel which escalated on March 2, Israel frequently pounded Sour city, causing multiple fatalities, with prior attacks hitting areas near the Jabal Amel Hospital and damaging infrastructure near the city's archaeological sites.
