Labor Minister Mohammad Haidar arrived Saturday morning at the government serail in Saida to begin a tour of southern Lebanon and Nabatieh aimed at inspecting commercial markets and industrial areas damaged by Israeli attacks during the war between Israel and Hezbollah.

The visit includes a meeting with the head of the Labor Ministry’s regional office in south Lebanon and several staff members. Haidar will then meet with employers, workers and labor union representatives before heading to Nabatieh and concluding his tour in Sour.

Despite the framework agreement reached between Lebanon and Israel, the Israeli army continues to occupy parts of south Lebanon and carry out explosions there. The conflict, particularly in south Lebanon, caused widespread destruction, displaced more than 1 million people and killed more than 4,000, making it far more devastating than the 2023-24 fighting.
