Foreign Minister Joe Rajji said he received a call from his Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Safadi, who congratulated him on Lebanon's signing of the framework agreement with Israel, negotiated under U.S. auspices.
Safadi "expressed his hope that this agreement would serve Lebanon's interests," notably by reaffirming its sovereignty and restoring stability, Rajji said in a message posted on X.
"For my part, I thanked him for Jordan's unwavering support for Lebanon and reaffirmed that this agreement was above all a victory for diplomacy and for the authority of the state and its institutions," he added.
