From Jerusalem to Beirut, Maria Magro’s watercolors tell the story of a diplomat’s life
From Portugal to Lebanon, via Ankara, Washington and Istanbul, the wife of the French ambassador unveils at USEK an exhibition of watercolors inspired by her travels, memories and the places that have marked her journey.

Her watercolors are a reflection of her personality: soft, delicate and discreet. Maria Magro, wife of the French ambassador, has voluntarily accompanied her husband on his various diplomatic missions, the most recent of which brought them to Lebanon. For the watercolorist, preserving the couple — and thus the family — is paramount, in keeping with the traditions of her native country, Portugal.
