BEIRUT — Prime Minister Nawaf Salam asserted Monday that Israel has killed 47 members of Lebanon's security services since the re-escalation of the war on March 2. According to statistics presented at a Cabinet meeting, Salam detailed the military losses since March 1, 2026, counting 29 victims from the Lebanese Army, 3 among the Internal Security Forces (ISF), 1 from General Security, 13 members of State Security killed in a single strike on April 13 on the Nabatieh Serail, and one victim from the parliamentary police.

Three soldiers, including two officers, were killed Saturday morning in an Israeli drone strike on a military vehicle on the road between Khardali and Nabatieh in southern Lebanon. Two of them were buried Sunday, and the third on Monday.

Salam also stated that 70 airstrikes and 33 missile launches were recorded Sunday. “The total number of cease-fire violations by Israel, from April 17 to June 7, is 3,491 airstrikes. This figure concerns only the period when the cease-fire, which Lebanon is striving to observe, went into effect,” he emphasized.

Furthermore, according to figures presented by the prime minister, Israel has carried out 407 demolitions, 6 earth-moving operations at various locations, and 6 ground incursions. Israel has killed a total 3,526 people and wounded 10,733 others since March 2, he added.

Despite a new cease-fire announced Wednesday at the end of the fourth round of Lebanese-Israeli negotiations in Washington, Israel continues to strike southern Lebanon, with while striking back at Israeli occupation forces. A truce had previously come into effect on April 17, but was never respected.
