A car was targeted by a drone strike on the Aichiyeh road in the Jezzine district, causing casualties, according to information from our correspondent.
A drone also targeted Mazraat Machraf, in the Sour district.
Salam says negotiations with Israel are “the least costly path” for Lebanon
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam denounced Israel’s “dangerous and unprecedented escalation” in South Lebanon and called for an “immediate cease-fire,” saying that the policy of “scorched earth” would not bring security to the neighboring country.
In a televised address to the Lebanese people, Salam nevertheless defended the authorities’ decision to engage in negotiations with Israel, saying it was “the least costly path” for Lebanon.
Health Ministry reports 16 killed and 34 wounded in Israeli strikes over the past 24 hours
Lebanon’s Health Ministry said in its daily toll that 16 people were killed and 34 wounded over the past 24 hours as Israeli strikes continue relentlessly across South Lebanon and southern Bekaa.
In total, the ministry has recorded 3,371 killed and 10,129 wounded in Israeli attacks since the resumption of the war on March 2.
Hezbollah says it targeted Israeli military vehicle near Yohmor al-Chaqif
Hezbollah claimed a new suicide drone attack targeting a military vehicle on the outskirts of Yohmor al-Chaqif.
According to a statement issued by the party-militia, the strike “destroyed” the vehicle.
Israeli bombardment targets the cities of Sour and Nabatieh; one killed in Ansar
Israeli warplanes carried out four strikes on the city of Nabatieh and targeted a neighborhood in Sour where journalists were present, according to information from our correspondent in the region. The strike on Sour caused no injuries.
Meanwhile, bombardments targeted Haris, Kounine (Bint Jbeil district), Kfar Hammam, struck for the second time (Hasbaya district), Qleileh (Sour district), and Ansar, in the Nabatieh district.
Ansar was hit twice, near the village square and a water point close to the cemetery, in attacks that killed one person and wounded four others.
White phosphorus artillery shelling also targeted Arnoun, in the Nabatieh district, below Beaufort Castle.

Hezbollah claimed it launched another suicide drone toward the Shomera barracks in northern Israel, while Israeli media reported that warning sirens sounded in Nahariya, on Israel’s northern coast.
Hezbollah claims attacks on Israeli forces in Debbine, Yohmor al-Chaqif and Zawtar al-Sharqieh
Hezbollah claimed new attacks against Israeli forces occupying South Lebanon, notably in Debbine (Marjayoun district), Yohmor al-Chqif and Zaoutar al-Sharqiyeh (Nabatieh district).
In Debbine, Hezbollah said it targeted an attempted Israeli advance on the outskirts of the village using an explosive device before engaging in clashes with Israeli soldiers, “forcing them to withdraw.”
In Zawtar al-Sharqieh, a locality north of the Litani River, the Shiite movement said it fired “guided missiles” at two Merkava tanks before targeting a reinforcement patrol with the same weapon.
In Yohmor al-Chaqif, Hezbollah fighters also launched a suicide drone at another Merkava tank, according to a separate statement.
Strikes hit Maydoun in the Bekaa; one killed in raid on Marwanieh (Saida)
One person was killed and three others wounded in the airstrike on Marwanieh (Saida district), according to our correspondent in the region.
Bombardments also targeted Kfar Dounine (Bint Jbeil district), Touline (Nabatieh district), Kfar Hammam (Hasbaya district) and Mahmoudieh (Jezzine district).
Two additional airstrikes also hit Kfar Tebnit (Nabatieh district).
Artillery shelling further targeted Froun (Nabatieh district) and Bouyout al-Siyad (Sour district).
In the Bekaa, Maydoun, which had previously been threatened by Israel, was struck at least twice, according to our correspondent.

According to Al Jazeera, Hezbollah also launched a rocket barrage around an hour earlier toward Yohmor al-Chaqif, a village recently captured by Israeli troops north of the Litani River.
In addition, Hezbollah said it fired a barrage of rockets toward the city of Safed, near the Sea of Galilee, around 20 kilometers from the Lebanese-Israeli border.

Two more killed in Israeli strike on Qaaqaiyet al-Jisr
The Israeli drone strike that hit the village of Qaaqaiyet al-Jisr (Nabatieh district) killed two people, according to our correspondent.
This latest deadly attack brings the death toll in South Lebanon since this morning to at least five.
Earlier, a father and son were killed in Ansar while trying to flee following an Israeli strike. Another person was killed in bombardments in central Nabatieh.
Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes struck the villages of Loubieh (Saida district), Deir Zahrani, Choukine and Kfar Tebnit (Nabatieh district).
Kfar Tebnit has been under heavy Israeli air and artillery bombardment since this morning and has been hit around 15 times today, according to our correspondent, as Israeli troops continue advancing in the Nabatieh area.
One killed and two wounded in Israeli strikes on Nabatieh
At least one person was killed and two others wounded in an Israeli drone strike that hit the road leading to the Justice Palace in Nabatieh, according to our correspondent.
Additional Israeli strikes targeted the villages of Blat (Marjayoun district), Shehabiyeh (Sour district), Kfar Tebnit, which was struck twice, Shouqine and Kfour (Nabatieh district), with explosions heard as far away as Saida.

The Lebanese Army announced that two of its soldiers were seriously wounded in an Israeli drone strike targeting the vehicle they were traveling in in the village of Ebba (Nabatieh district), adding that they had been “transported to the hospital for treatment.
Israel strikes near Mashghara hospital in the Bekaa as raids continue across the South
Israeli warplanes bombed the surroundings of Mashghara Governmental Hospital in West Bekaa, according to our correspondent, in the third strike targeting the village since this morning.
Meanwhile, in South Lebanon, Israeli strikes targeted an area between Qaaqaiyet al-Jisr and Kfarsir (Nabatieh district), as well as the village of Blat (Marjayoun district), according to our correspondent.
The village of Qatrani (Jezzine district) also came under Israeli artillery fire.
At the same time, the municipality of Zefta (Nabatieh district) called on residents to move to a safe location following repeated Israeli evacuation threats targeting the village.
In a statement, the municipality added that if residents were unable to leave, they should remain inside their homes, stressing that “all movement and gatherings throughout the locality are strictly prohibited.”

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam decided to “intensify contacts” with the international community in an effort to put an end to the Israeli escalation in South Lebanon, where the Israeli army is stepping up its strikes and ground invasion.
“Aoun and Salam reviewed the security developments in the South in light of the ongoing Israeli attacks and the advance on several towns and villages, particularly in the Sour and Nabatieh districts,” according to a statement released by the presidency following a meeting between the two leaders at Baabda Palace.
They also expressed concern over the destruction of homes, agricultural land and historical sites in South Lebanon.
In response to these attacks, as well as the “repeated” evacuation orders targeting villages in the South and the Bekaa, Joseph Aoun and Nawaf Salam “agreed to intensify contacts to put an end to these condemned Israeli practices.”
Israeli bombardment targets Mashghara in West Bekaa; one killed in drone strike on Nabatieh
Three Israeli strikes targeted Mashghara, in West Bekaa, according to information from our correspondent in the region.
The village, which has come under heavy bombardment throughout the week, had been the subject of an Israeli evacuation order earlier in the day.
Meanwhile, in South Lebanon, an Israeli army drone struck a car in Nabatieh, killing one person.
Airstrikes were also carried out on Kafra (Bint Jbeil district) and Kfour (Nabatieh district), while artillery shelling targeted Chaqra (Bint Jbeil district), Majdal Selm and Touline (Marjayoun district).

Artillery shelling additionally targeted Touline, Sawaneh, Qabrikha (Marjayoun district) and Braachit (Bint Jbeil district).
In the Saida district, a strike targeted Zrarieh.
Hezbollah says it repelled an Israeli advance toward Ghandourieh, claims rocket fire on northern Israel
lHezbollah claimed responsibility for five attacks carried out overnight against Israeli positions, towns and troops invading South Lebanon, reporting a new attempted advance by “enemy forces toward the eastern outskirts of the village of Ghandourieh,” in the Bint Jbeil district.
This marks the first time the Shiite militia has reported an Israeli advance toward this village south of the Litani River, located beyond the Wadi Houjeir valley, opposite the village of Qantara, already occupied by Israeli forces. Ghandouriyeh is located around 20 kilometers east of Sour.
According to Hezbollah’s statement, its fighters “detonated explosive devices while shelling the advancing troops with artillery and rockets,” allegedly inflicting losses on the Israeli army, which then “withdrew under a thick smoke screen” before carrying out “airstrikes and artillery shelling on the surrounding area.”
Hezbollah also said it targeted other Israeli troops advancing north of the Litani toward Nabatieh. It further claimed to have shot down a Hermes-450 Israeli drone over Zaoutar al-Sharqiyeh (Nabatieh district) using a “surface-to-air missile.”
Hezbollah fires rockets overnight at northern Israel; damage reported in Kiryat Shmona
The party-militia also said it launched two barrages of rockets overnight toward the Israeli town of Kiryat Shmona, as well as “advanced missiles” at the Israeli Meron base, described as the Israeli army’s “air operations command and control center,” located around six kilometers from the border.
According to Kiryat Shmona municipal spokesperson Doron Schnaper, quoted by Haaretz, one of the 10 rockets fired by Hezbollah was not intercepted and caused damage in the town center, damaging several shops.
Ongoing fighting between Hezbollah and the Israeli army around Beaufort Castle
Sounds of clashes between Hezbollah fighters and Israeli soldiers were heard near Beaufort Castle, according to our correspondent.
Israeli troops have been attempting for several days to advance toward the historic fortress — a strategic site north of the Litani River — and toward the village of Arnoun. Israeli forces are already positioned in the neighboring village of Yohmor al-Chaqif, below the castle.
Both localities have been heavily targeted in recent weeks by Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling.
Washington says Lebanese and Israeli military talks were “constructive,” without mentioning a cease-fire
The United States on Friday welcomed “constructive” discussions between Israeli and Lebanese military officials at the Pentagon, following nine hours of talks. However, no mention was made after the session of the effective implementation of a cease-fire in Lebanon, despite Beirut’s insistence.
“Today at the Pentagon, I hosted military delegations from Israel and Lebanon as part of the security track supporting the ongoing peace talks between their two countries,” U.S. Deputy Defense Secretary Elbridge Colby said on X.
“We held constructive military-to-military discussions that will serve as a basis for the political track led by the State Department next week,” he added. The United States plans to meet again soon to continue the security track.
Elbridge Colby made no mention of the cease-fire in effect in Lebanon, while the mid-April truce, extended a month later, has never been respected.

The Israeli army issues two new forced displacement orders for seven villages in the South and the Bekaa
The Israeli army spokesperson issued two new forced displacement orders this morning targeting six villages in South Lebanon, located in the Nabatieh and Saida districts, as well as a seventh village in the western Bekaa.
The threatened villages are Mayfadoun, Shouqine, Zebdine, Jdeidet Ansar (Nabatieh), Zrarieh, Mazraat Kawthariyet al-Rez (Saida), and Mashghara (West Bekaa).
The warning calls on residents to “evacuate immediately” and move “north of the Zahrani River.”
The United States says it has the means to resume war against Iran
The United States said it has the means to resume war against Iran, after stating that a peace agreement would only be possible if its “red lines are met.”
Uncertainty remains over the outcome of talks between Tehran and Washington, following the most serious clashes this week since the truce came into effect on April 8.
Sources in Washington had mentioned Thursday a proposed framework agreement including a 60-day extension of the cease-fire, while a two-hour meeting held Friday at the White House on the matter ended without any immediate announcement.

A father and son killed in strike on car in Ansar while trying to flee
Overnight from Friday to Saturday, two people were killed and five others wounded in drone strikes targeting the same family from Ansar, in the Nabatieh district.
According to information from our correspondent, a drone strike targeted the vehicle of the Hashem family as its members attempted to flee their home, which had previously been hit by a missile on the balcony.
The father and son, the latter having returned from Kuwait to spend Eid al-Adha with his family, were killed.
Attacks on Srifa, in the Sour district
In the Bint Jbeil district, bombardments targeted Chaqra, Ghandouriyeh, Froun and Jmeijmeh, while Srifa, in the Sour district, was struck repeatedly over the past several hours.
In the same area, additional raids were reported on Selaa and Shehabiyeh.
Debbine still targeted by multiple Israeli army strikes
In the Marjayoun district, Debbine continues to come under heavy bombardment.
The village, located in the northern part of the district and entered by Israeli forces the previous day, has been struck at least five times since last night, according to our correspondent. Powerful explosions were also heard there.
In the same area, Israel bombed the surroundings of the Jdeidet Marjayoun power plant.
Israeli escalation against Nabatieh and surrounding areas
Since last night, the Israeli army has further intensified its bombardment campaign against southern Lebanon, targeting several regions as Israeli forces continue advancing toward Nabatieh along multiple fronts.
As part of what appears to be a broader invasion of the South and an advance toward the major city north of the Litani River, strikes have multiplied across the region, according to our correspondent.
The village of Zebdine has notably been pounded by repeated raids since this morning, as have Yohmor al-Chaqif, Kfar Tebnit and Arnoun, which were targeted by airstrikes, artillery shelling and white phosphorus rounds.
These villages are located only a few kilometers south of Nabatieh.
In the village of Harouf, ambulances from the Islamic Mission Scouts Association (affiliated with the Amal Movement) were mobilized to evacuate families still present there. The Ali Taher hills were also targeted with white phosphorus shells.
Further north of Nabatieh, strikes also hit Kfar Rummane and the surrounding hills.
The surroundings of the Nabatieh Governmental Hospital were also targeted by Israeli drones in a strike that wounded three people.
A drone also struck a van on the Habbouche–Deir Zahrani highway, killing one person.
