Israeli strikes continue across southern Lebanon

Israel targeted Touline and Debbine (Marjayoun) with airstrikes, according to our correspondent in southern Lebanon.
Israel also targeted Bnaafoul (Saida) following a forced evacuation order, as well as areas around Sour, along the Hosh and Ain Baal road.
Casualties have been reported in Batoulieh (Sour) following two Israeli strikes on the village.
Israel also targeted Roumin (Nabatieh) with airstrikes.
Residents of Kfar Houneh forced to flee following forced displacement order by Israel
The head of the municipality of Kfar Houneh, James Hindi, told our correspondent that this was the first time the village had been subject to an evacuation order, but that a strike had hit the surrounding area during the previous war. He added that the village, whose population constitutes a mix of Christians and Shias, is hosting 77 displaced families staying with relatives and friends.
The alert was raised by some residents who fired shots into the air, as well as by announcements broadcast from the village church and mosques.
He said that some residents had fired shots into the air in front of their homes to alert the population to the need to leave, whilst the village church broadcast announcements urging residents to evacuate. Displaced people and residents left the village following the evacuation order.
The head of the municipality of Bnaafoul, Toufic al-Rez, stated that he had personally warned the residents, assisted by a team of municipal staff, as the village had been bombed on several occasions, most recently about a fortnight ago.
Vans were mobilized to transport residents who did not have cars. He explained that the village has a population of around 6,000, in addition to some 900 displaced people being housed in the state school and in private homes.
UAE condemns 'dangerous escalation' following drone strike on nuclear site
The United Arab Emirates on Sunday condemned the drone strike that caused a fire near the Barakah nuclear power plant in the west of the country, without attributing responsibility for the attack.
The attack "constitutes a dangerous escalation, an unacceptable act of aggression and a direct threat to the country’s security," the Foreign Affairs Ministry said in a statement, asserting that "no threat to security and sovereignty would be tolerated, whatever the circumstances."
Israeli forces in Mari attempt to remove Lebanese Army checkpoint
According to eyewitnesses, cited by our correspondent in southern Lebanon, an Israeli force moved from Ain Arab (Marjayoun) toward a Lebanese Army position in the village of Mari (Hasbaya) in an attempt to remove the checkpoint. Following tensions between the two sides, a Lebanese Army unit arrived and reinforced the checkpoint in that area.
Meanwhile, Israel carried out a strike on Beit Yahoun (Bint Jbeil).
Hezbollah also said that it fired two attack drones at Israeli soldiers in the port of Naqoura (Sour) at 5:30 p.m.

U.S. President Donald Trump spoke on the phone with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday regarding Iran, an Israeli official told Axios.
New Israeli forced evacuation orders for five further villages in the South and Bekaa
At 6 p.m., Israel issued a new forced displacement order targeting five villages in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa: Sohmor (Western Bekaa), Roumin, Qoseibeh (Nabatieh), Kfar Houneh (Jezzine), and Bnaafoul (Saida).
In the latter village, some 70 displaced families have taken refuge in the local state school, whilst 90 other families are staying in homes elsewhere in the village, reports our correspondent in southern Lebanon.
Further similar warnings were issued this afternoon, around 2 p.m., targeting four other villages in the Saida district: Bablieh, Baissarieh, Marwanieh, and Arzi, which Israel targeted with several airstrikes in the two hours following the publication of the expulsion orders.
Hezbollah says it killed and wounded Israeli soldiers attempting to advance toward Safita, outskirts of Yohmor al-Shaqif
Hezbollah said that during an Israeli attempt to advance toward the Safita area on the outskirts of the village of Yohmor al-Shaqif (Nabatieh) at 2:25 p.m., its fighters detonated an explosive device targeting the force, resulting in the "killing and wounding" of the Israeli soldiers.
Meanwhile, Israel carried out a strike on the village of Aita al-Jabal (Bint Jbeil).
Moreover, the village of Shaaitiyeh and the outskirts of Shhour and Houmeiri (Sour) have been subjected to Israeli artillery shelling.

Vice President of Iranian Parliament claims Strait of Hormuz more important than atomic bomb, reports Fars
The vice-president of the Iranian Parliament, Haji Babaei, told Iranian news outlet Fars that the Strait of Hormuz is more important to Iran than an atomic bomb, reports Reuters.
“If the enemy attacks our oil, we will ensure that no country in the world has access to oil from the region for a significant period,” he warned.
Health Ministry: Israel kills 19 people in past 24 hours, toll reaches 2,988 killed
According to latest figures released by the Health Ministry, Israeli attacks have killed 2,988 people since its escalation of the war on March 2, an increase of 19 killed since the last toll released Saturday.
Israel continues its relentless attacks against Lebanon, despite the nominal "cease-fire" in place between Israel and Lebanon, which was extended yesterday by 45 days.
The ministry also reports 9,210 people injured, an increase of 98 people in the last 24 hours.
Death toll from Israeli strike on Tayr Feslay rises to 5
The death toll of the Israeli airstrike on Tayr Feslay (Sour) has risen to five people, including Hilal Jaafar Mazeh, a medic from the Amal-affiliated Rissala Scout Association, according to our correspondent in southern Lebanon. Four people have been also wounded as a result of the strike.
Israeli warplanes have carried out strikes on the villages of Shoukine (Nabatieh), Jmaijmeh, Safad al-Battikh (Bint Jbeil), and Arzi (Saida). The strike on Arzi targeted the house of mukhtar Ahmad Metirak, without causing casualties.
Another Israeli soldier killed since start of Israeli invasion of southern Lebanon
An Israeli soldier, a member of the Golani Brigade, died on Friday following a drone attack in southern Lebanon, according to Israeli media reports.
His death brings the number of soldiers killed since the start of the Israeli invasion of southern Lebanon to at least 21.
Hezbollah claims responsibility for three new attacks on Israeli occupation forces in southern Lebanon
Hezbollah has issued three new statements claiming responsibility for its latest attacks against Israeli troops invading and occupying southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah first reported that it had launched an explosive drone at an Israeli military vehicle in Bayyada (Sour) at 10 a.m. this morning, stating that the vehicle had been “seen on fire.”
It subsequently claimed to have fired another drone at “Israeli soldiers who were in a tent” also in Bayyada at 10.20 a.m., adding that “evacuation teams were seen transporting the wounded.”
A third explosive drone targeted “an artillery position belonging to the enemy Israeli army” in the village of Odaisseh (Marjayoun) at 3 p.m.
Israeli airstrike on Tayr Felsay causes fatalities and casualties, including women and children
The Israeli airstrike that targeted a house in the village of Tayr Felsay (Sour) killed and wounded a yet undetermined number of people, including women and children.
Israel has also carried out strikes on the villages of Khirbet Selem, Deir Antar, and Tibnin towards the village of Haris (Bint Jbeil).
Israeli soldiers wounded overnight during infiltration attempt north of the Litani
Several Israeli soldiers were wounded by an explosion last night as they attempted to advance along the northern bank of the Litani, reports our correspondent in southern Lebanon.
According to our information, obtained from villagers, the Israeli troops in question were attempting to infiltrate the area around Safita Castle, located on the outskirts of the village of Yohmor al-Shaqif (Nabatieh).
For its part, the Israeli army confirmed in a statement that four of its soldiers had been wounded last night “following the explosion of an explosive device in southern Lebanon,” adding that one of them was “seriously injured and another moderately.”
Last week, another Israeli incursion targeted the neighboring village of Zawtar Sharqieh, as Israel attempts to extend its control and the perimeter of its "buffer zone" beyond the Litani River.
Hezbollah released its third statement today, noting that it fired an attack drone at an Israeli military vehicle in Bayyada (Sour) at 10 a.m., noting that the vehicle was "seen burning" and "evacuation teams were seen transporting casualties."
Meanwhile, an Israeli drone has carried out a strike near a Lebanese Army barracks in the village of Kafra (Bint Jbeil). No casualties have been reported.
Israel issues forced displacement orders for 4 villages in district of Saida
Shortly after 2 p.m., Israel issued a forced evacuation order for residents from four villages in southern Lebanon, all located in the Saida district: Bablieh, Baissariyeh, Marwanieh, and Arzi.
The entire population residing in these four localities was ordered to flee the area. These villages had already been named on Saturday in a similar evacuation threat, which included nine villages in total.
Israeli evacuation threats against southern Lebanon have become a daily occurrence in recent days, triggering further population movements from the south to the north of the country.
Netanyahu due to speak with Trump this Sunday
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said he is due to speak with U.S. President Donald Trump this Sunday.
He indicated that he intended to seek an update on Trump’s trip to China, whilst suggesting that they would also discuss the issue of Iran. “We are closely monitoring the situation in Iran. I will speak to Trump today,” he said, according to Haaretz.
The Israeli Prime Minister is also due to convene his senior advisers and several ministers this evening for a meeting of the “restricted defense cabinet” in his office in Jerusalem, the Times of Israel reported.
Six more deaths have been reported over the past 48 hours by the authorities in Gaza, where Israel is continuing its strikes despite the ‘ceasefire’
In a statement, the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza reported six further people killed and 19 injured recorded in the last 48 hours.
Among them, two people were killed by Israeli attacks carried out during this period, whilst the bodies of four people were found under the rubble of buildings destroyed by earlier bombardments.
Since the start of the nominal "cease-fire" in Gaza which came into effect on Oct. 11, 2025, Israeli attacks have killed at least 871 people and injured a further 2,562, according to health authorities in the Palestinian enclave.
Authorities have also recovered 776 bodies from the rubble, bringing the number of new deaths recorded since that date to 1,647.
New Israeli air strikes in southern Lebanon; Hezbollah claims responsibility for its first attacks of the day
Israel has carried out a new series of air strikes against several towns in southern Lebanon. These latest strikes targeted the villages of Hadatha and Kafra (Bint Jbeil).
In addition, Israeli artillery fire targeted the villages of Yohmor al-Shaqif and the outskirts of Zawtar Sharqieh (Nabatieh), located north of the Litani River.
For its part, Hezbollah announced in its first statement of the day that it had launched an explosive drone at an Israeli bulldozer in the village of Bayyada (Sour) at 6.45 a.m.
It also stated that it had fired a barrage of rockets at Israeli soldiers and vehicles in the village of Rshaf (Bint Jbeil) at 11 a.m.
A drone strike has caused a fire at the Barakah nuclear power plant, according to Abu Dhabi
Authorities in the United Arab Emirates said on Sunday that they had intervened to contain a fire caused by a drone strike targeting an electrical generator located near the Barakah nuclear power plant in al-Dhafra, in the Abu Dhabi region.
In a post on X, Abu Dhabi’s media office stated there were no injuries and that the fire, which broke out outside the nuclear power plant’s perimeter, had had no impact on radiation levels in the area.
The Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) confirmed that the fire had not affected the safety of the plant or the proper functioning of its vital systems.
Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon injure at least three people
Israeli airstrikes on several villages in southern Lebanon have injured at least three people, our correspondent reports.
One person was seriously injured after an Israeli drone targeted a car in the village of Zrarieh (Saida).
One of the Israeli air strikes targeting Tayr Debba (Sour) this morning injured two rescue workers.
In addition, Israel carried out strikes against the villages of Zibqine (Sour) and Kfar Sir (Nabatieh).
Ghalibaf appointed Iran’s special representative for Chinese affairs
The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has been appointed Iran’s special representative for Chinese affairs, according to the Iranian news agency Fars.
This post was previously held by the former Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, who Israel assassinated on March 17, as well as by Iran’s current ambassador to Beijing, Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli.
Ghalibaf was also Iran’s chief negotiator during talks between Tehran and Washington aimed at ending the war launched by Israel and the United States

Summary of Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon overnight
Hezbollah stated that at 7.40 p.m. it had launched an attack drone at an Israeli surveillance camera in the village of Taybeh (Marjayoun), claiming to have hit its target with precision. The group also reported that between 7.00 pm and 7.30 pm, it had carried out a large-scale barrage targeting all Israeli army positions in the village of Bayyada (Sour), using artillery shells and successive waves of rockets.
At midnight, Israeli artillery fire struck several villages in the district of Sour: one shell fell on Bstiyat, two on the outskirts of Maaroub and two others on Barish. Further shelling hit the villages of Ghandourieh and Froun (Bint Jbeil), as well as the center of Jibsheet (Nabatieh) near the cemetery.
At around the same time, a warning regarding the Hijazi building, located near Jabal Amel Hospital in Sour, was relayed by telephone to one of the residents, leading to the precautionary evacuation of the building. Following these developments, the rest of the night was relatively calm in southern Lebanon.
Israel targets at least thirty villages with airstrikes on Saturday
Israel carried out airstrikes yesterday against 30 villages in southern Lebanon, reports our correspondent in the South, Muntasser Abdallah. Several towns were targeted by multiple strikes, causing extensive damage to buildings, homes, and property.
In addition, Israeli drone strikes targeted four towns yesterday, whilst 23 others came under heavy artillery fire, including the villages Yohmor al-Shaqif and Zawtar al-Sharqieh (Nabatieh) hit by phosphorus shells. Israel also blew up several homes in Khiam (Marjayoun).
For its part, Hezbollah launched a total of 19 attacks, targeting Israeli soldiers and command centers within the occupied Lebanese territories, particularly in the village of Bayyada (Sour), and attacked the Ya’ara military barracks inside Israel. It also repelled five Israeli attempts to advance from the occupied village of Rshaf towards Haddatha (Bint Jbeil).
Israeli strikes on the Western Bekaa and southern Lebanon
Despite the extension of the "cease-fire," the Israeli army is continuing its attacks in Lebanon.
According to our correspondent, the Israeli air force carried out five strikes this morning, four of which were on the areas surrounding the villages of Sohmor and Yohmor in the Western Bekaa. A poultry farm is located in the targeted area.
In southern Lebanon, an Israeli drone strike targeted a motorbike in the village of Jibsheet (Nabatieh). Israeli warplanes also bombed the same area, as well as the villages of Tayr Debba and Zibqine (Sour), according to our correspondent.
Furthermore, the person killed yesterday afternoon during an Israeli strike targeting an area between Tayr Debba and Abbassieh (Sour) has been identified as Rayan Ftouni, a member of the Abbassieh municipal council, according to our correspondent.
The three first respondents killed during another strike targeting a Civil Defense center run by the Islamic Health Committee, affiliated with Hezbollah, on Saturday evening have been identified as Ali Moustapha al-Faour, Hadi Ali Kamal, and Moussa Mohammad Mokdad.
