Its destruction required more than "450 tons of explosives." On Tuesday, the Israeli army announced it had blown up "the most important underground network" of Hezbollah discovered to date in Lebanon. According to Israel, the dramatic explosions targeted two tunnels belonging to the al-Radwan Force, Hezbollah's elite unit, with a total length of about two kilometers and reaching a depth of 25 meters. This demolition, which came amid a theoretical cease-fire in Lebanon, raises questions about the nature of the site targeted, especially since it is located south of the Litani River, where the Lebanese Army was supposed to have completed the first phase of its plan to disarm Hezbollah by the end of 2025.
