A full photo album, found almost intact amid the rubble of a building reduced to dust, where Amal had meticulously stored the first ultrasounds, moments, and smiles of her first and only child.The 39-year-old mother and her three-and-a-half-month-old baby were both killed in an unannounced Israeli airstrike on Saksakieh, a small coastal village south of Saida. In this modest three-story building, now completely destroyed, lived three of the eight Kawtharani children: Hussein, a soldier in the Lebanese Army; Hassan, a farmer; and Amal, a nurse.
