Russia evacuates nearly 200 employees from Iran's Bushehr nuclear plant after strike

Russia began evacuating 198 employees from the Bushehr nuclear plant in Iran on Saturday, following a new strike on the plant's area earlier in the day, according to Alexei Likhachev, director general of Rosatom, who spoke to Russian media.

"The main wave of evacuation of Rosatom employees from Iran began today as planned," Likhachev told Russian journalists, according to the Tass news agency, emphasizing that buses carrying "198 people" departed "about 20 minutes after" the strike on the nuclear plant area.
