In its latest updated report on the human consequences of the war, the disaster risk management unit, attached to the Cabinet, has recorded a total of 826 killed in Israeli attacks and strikes in Lebanon as of Saturday, a total that has increased by 53 additional fatalities in 24 hours. These attacks have also injured 2,009, 76 more than the last count.
In addition, 831,882 people have been displaced since March 2. Around 132,419 are in collective centers, representing 33,902 sheltered families.
The disaster and crisis management cell in the Akkar governorate indicated that 2,549 displaced families, or 9,811 people, have found refuge in the region.
Among them, 2,248 families (8,686 people) are being sheltered outside of host centers, while 301 families (1,125 people) are being accommodated in shelter centers.
The report also specifies that 21 shelter centers have been opened in the governorate, 17 of which have already reached their maximum hosting capacity.
