BEIRUT — The Foreign Affairs Ministry announced that it is monitoring with "great concern" the developments in several Arab countries and the region, after the war against Iran triggered by Israel and the United States.

The statement released notes the creation of an "emergency unit" between the ministry in Beirut and missions abroad, in order to continuously monitor developments and the needs of citizens, and provides a list of numbers to call.

In this context, the ministry calls on all Lebanese residing or currently present in the targeted areas, urging them "to exercise utmost caution and vigilance, to strictly follow the directives of the official authorities of the host countries, as well as the decisions and measures taken by their governments, in order to preserve public security and safety," the ministry wrote.

Bustros Palace also calls on Lebanese nationals to "immediately contact, in case of emergency, the accredited Lebanese diplomatic missions in their country of residence, noting that these missions are working around the clock under the direct supervision of Foreign Affairs Minister Joe Rajji, and are fully prepared to receive their calls."

Finally, the ministry "reaffirms that the safety and dignity of Lebanese citizens, wherever they may be, are at the core of its responsibilities and priorities.
