BEIRUT — On Saturday night, Middle East Airlines (MEA) announced changes to its flight schedule for Sunday, March 1, following the regional airspace closures triggered by the bilateral U.S.-Israeli offensive against Iran on the morning of Feb. 28.

The airline outlined adjustments affecting flights departing from or arriving at Beirut airport.

Here's what you need to know:

1. Additional flight to Istanbul

MEA will operate an extra flight to Istanbul on Sunday, March 1, 2026. Flight ME1265 will depart Beirut at 4:30 p.m. local time.

2. Cancellation of the Jeddah–Beirut (overnight) flight

The return Jeddah–Beirut flight (ME369, red-eye flight) scheduled for March 1 is canceled. Passengers will be rebooked on the regular flight ME365 departing Monday, March 2, at 12:25 p.m. (Saudi Arabia time).

3. Cancellation of some flights on March 1, 2026

The following flights are canceled (local time):

    • ME 426: Beirut → Dubai – 7:20 a.m.
    • ME 427: Dubai → Beirut – 1:30 p.m.
    • ME 310: Beirut → Amman – 7:40 a.m.
    • ME 311: Amman → Beirut – 10:40 a.m.
    • ME 404: Beirut → Kuwait – 8:40 a.m.
    • ME 405: Kuwait → Beirut – 12:55 p.m.
    • ME 320: Beirut → Baghdad – 11:55 a.m.
    • ME 321: Baghdad → Beirut – 3:25 p.m.
    • ME 436: Beirut → Doha – 3:15 p.m.
    • ME 437: Doha → Beirut – 7:55 p.m.
    • ME 418: Beirut → Abu Dhabi – 3:20 p.m.
    • ME 419: Abu Dhabi → Beirut – 9:30 p.m.
    • ME 322: Beirut → Baghdad – 3:55 p.m.
    • ME 323: Baghdad → Beirut – 7:25 p.m.
    • ME 428: Beirut → Dubai – 4:15 p.m.
    • ME 429: Dubai → Beirut – 10:25 p.m.
    • ME 326: Beirut → Najaf – 5:20 p.m.
    • ME 327: Najaf → Beirut – 9:00 p.m.
    • ME 402: Beirut → Kuwait – 5:40 p.m.
    • ME 403: Kuwait → Beirut – 9:55 p.m.
    • ME 442: Beirut → Dammam – 8:00 p.m.
    • ME 443: Dammam → Beirut – 12:15 a.m. (morning of March 2)

As well as:

    • ME 430: Beirut → Dubai – 9:00 p.m.
    • ME 431: Dubai → Beirut – 3:10 a.m. (morning of Monday, March 2)
    • ME 434: Beirut → Doha – 11:10 p.m.
    • ME 435: Doha → Beirut – 3:50 a.m. (morning of Monday, March 2)

Additional information

    1. The morning Beirut–Amman flight (ME310/311) is canceled, while the afternoon ME312/313 will operate as scheduled.
    2. Dammam passengers may rebook their tickets on a flight to Dammam or Riyadh, within one week from the original flight date.
    3. All other March 1 flights remain unchanged. MEA said it will communicate further updates promptly.
