The Iranian state-run channel Al-Alam TV, which broadcasts in Arabic, deleted shortly after publishing information announcing an "imminent speech" by Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei.

The fate of the religious leader remains unknown at this time. The United States and Israel targeted him in a strike earlier in the day. "To my knowledge, all senior officials are alive: we are in control of the situation and everything is fine," said Abbas Araghchi, Iran's chief diplomat, a little earlier.

Following the strike that killed former Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah on Sept. 27, 2024, a source within the party initially told AFP that he was "fine." Hezbollah officially announced his death the following day, after the Israeli army's announcement.
