The United Nations Security Council will meet Saturday at 9 p.m. GMT (4 p.m. in New York) to discuss "the situation in the Middle East" following the military operation launched by Washington against Iran, the U.N. announced.
This meeting was convened at the initiative of France and Bahrain, according to the Israeli mission to the U.N. Antonio Guterres, the head of the international organization, condemned "the escalation" in the region and called for "an immediate halt to hostilities."
