Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi, who has served as a mediator in talks between the United States and Iran since early February, said Saturday that the negotiations had been “undermined” following the launch of U.S.-Israeli strikes on Tehran.

“I am dismayed. Serious and active negotiations have once again been compromised. Neither American interests nor the cause of world peace are served by this. And I pray for the innocents who will suffer,” he said. “I urge the United States not to become further entangled. This is not your war.”
