Will Tsahal’s airwaves continue much longer? For several weeks, Israeli military radio Galei Tsahal has been under attack by the Netanyahu government. "It was established as a military station serving the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), not as a platform to express opinions, many of which attack the army and soldiers," thundered Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz on Dec. 22.The next day, the executive unanimously voted to shut down the public station — the third most listened to in Israel — a decision set to take effect March 1, 2026.
