BEIRUT — The State Security announced Thursday in a statement the arrest in Hazmieh, east of Beirut, of a Lebanese man identified by the initials A.K., who posed as a cosmetic doctor and allegedly carried out dozens of aesthetic procedures, including Botox and filler injections, using counterfeit and falsified medical products.
During the investigation, another Lebanese man, A.H., was arrested during a raid on his home in Raml al-Aali, near the Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport road.
Security forces seized authentic German cosmetic product stickers, which he used to falsify cosmetic preparations, as well as war weapons.
Following these arrests, a beauty center in Mrayjeh, in the southern suburbs of Beirut and owned by the fugitive M.H., son of A.H., was sealed with red wax.
Another cosmetic clinic in Haret Hreik, also in the southern suburbs, was closed.
Legal proceedings have been launched under the instructions of the competent judicial authority, while efforts continue to apprehend other individuals involved.
