UN chief Guterres urges de-escalation between Thailand, Cambodia

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is very concerned about the latest developments between Thailand and Cambodia, his spokesperson said on Monday.

Guterres urges Thailand and Cambodia to do whatever they can to de-escalate and return to the deal agreed in October, U.N. spokesperson Stephane Dujarric told reporters.

Thailand said its fighter jets struck Cambodia on Monday in an attempt to cripple its military capability.
