NORTH LEBANON — The Public Works and Transport Minister, Fayez Rasamny, and MP Ahmad Kheir (Minieh-Dennieh) inaugurated the seaside promenade in the town of Minieh, North Lebanon, on Thursday, in the presence of political and social figures as well as local dignitaries, according to our regional correspondent.
This event is the result of collaboration between Kheir, who financed the project, and the Minieh union of municipalities, aiming to create “a new tourist destination for the city.”
The MP stressed that “the decision to finance this project was not merely a development initiative, but a duty to the residents of this region, who deserve spaces worthy of themselves and their families.”
“We promise you that this step will be the starting point for a series of projects that will restore Minieh’s former glory and cultural role,” he added.
Minister Rasamny, welcomed this “partnership between the public sector and responsible initiatives.”
“When faced with the challenges Lebanon is experiencing, such initiatives support the state’s efforts and strengthen infrastructure. The Ministry of Public Works and Transport welcomes this initiative and considers it a fundamental pillar for revitalizing tourism and the economy in the North. We congratulate Minieh on its new promenade and reaffirm the ministry’s unwavering support for any initiative that serves the citizen’s interests and balanced development,” he said.
