Iranian newspapers Etemad and Ham Mihan, reported explosions in northern Iran on Tuesday afternoon, shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump accused both Iran and Israel of violating a recently declared cease-fire — an agreement he later reaffirmed as being in effect.
Etemad and Ham Mihan cited reports of “sounds of explosions” and the activation of air defense systems in Babol and Babolsar, two cities located more than 200 kilometers northeast of Tehran, near the Caspian Sea. The source of the explosions was not immediately confirmed.
