Israel-Iran: 'Trump is still looking for a diplomatic off-ramp'

In a message read out on his behalf, a White House spokesperson announced on Thursday that Trump would make a decision about U.S. involvement in the war against Iran "within the next two weeks." After days of leaving the world hanging, Trump has now officially granted Tehran a window of time in which to give diplomacy another chance, with one clear goal on his mind: for the Islamic Republic to completely abandon its nuclear program. American special envoy Steve Witkoff has reportedly been in contact with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi throughout the last week regarding possibilities for an agreement.
