A residential building was hit after an Iranian missile strike in southern Israel, the Israeli police announced Friday morning in a statement.
"The southern district police forces, accompanied by bomb disposal experts and emergency response teams, are currently operating at the impact site of a projectile in one of the southern cities," the statement said, accompanied by photos showing a residential building with the facade blown out, without specifying the exact location.
Aerial alert sirens had sounded early Friday in several regions of Israel following Iranian missile strikes, on the eighth day of the war between the two countries, with the alert being lifted shortly thereafter.
The army had triggered these alerts "following the identification of missiles launched from Iran towards the State of Israel," it stated on Telegram.
The Home Front Command (Civil Defense) quickly announced that it was permitted to leave protected spaces.
The Magen David Adom (MDA), Israel's equivalent of the Red Cross, said in a statement that no reports of injuries had been received.
