BEIRUT — 67 people have been killed and 221 others wounded and hospitalized across the Strip in the past 24 hours, the Gaza Health Ministry reported on Thursday.
Two bodies were also recovered from rubble, per the report.
According to the ministry, the overall death toll since the start of the war on Oct. 7, 2023, has reached 55,706, with 130,101 wounded.
Since the renewal of fighting in March, 5,401 people have been killed and 18,060 wounded.
The ministry added that so far today, 12 people have been killed and more than 172 wounded while seeking humanitarian aid.
After Israel eased its blockade, the US- and Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) began distributing aid in late May, but its operations have been marred by chaotic scenes and dozens of deaths.
U.N. agencies and major aid groups have refused to cooperate with the foundation over concerns it was designed to cater to Israeli military objectives.
