Houthis say they support Iran's 'legitimate' right to defend itself after Israeli strikes

BEIRUT — Yemen's Houthi rebels, who are close to Iran, said Friday they support Tehran's "legitimate" right to defend itself after Israeli strikes targeted nuclear facilities and military sites.

The movement, which has conducted several drone and missile attacks against Israel since the start of the war in Gaza, condemned the "brutal Israeli aggression," and said it supports "Iran's full and legitimate right to defend itself and to develop its nuclear program."
