Lebanese President Joseph Aoun left Beirut Tuesday morning heading to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in response to an official invitation extended to him by King Abdullah of Jordan, the Lebanese Presidency said in a post on X.

"During his visit, President Aoun will hold a summit meeting with King Abdullah II, followed by expanded talks involving the official delegations from both Lebanon and Jordan. The discussions will focus on bilateral relations and current regional developments," the post concluded.

Since his appointment as president on Jan.9, Aoun has undertaken a series of diplomatic visits to various Arab nations, including recent trips to Egypt and several Gulf countries. These efforts aim to restore diplomatic ties and rebuild trust with Arab states, following years of strained relations.
