The Lebanese Army announced in a statement on Monday that two Israeli drones fell in the towns of Houla (Marjayoun) and Beit Leif (Bint Jbeil) on Sunday.
"Patrols from the Lebanese Army secured the area around their crash sites and transferred the drones to the specialized unit for inspection and necessary action," the army concluded.
A similar aircraft had also been found on Sunday in Dhaira (Sour) by the army.
The Israeli army has not commented on the incident.
Since a cease-fire began between Hezbollah and Israel on Nov. 27, 2024, Hezbollah only attacked Israel once, despite daily Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon, and several attacks on the southern suburbs of Beirut, most recently on Thursday.
On Monday, local residents reported an Israeli bulldozer carrying out a demolition operation near the junction of the Israeli al-Abad site, between the towns of Markaba and Houla (both located in Marjayoun).
The Israeli army also fired from the Hammams Hill south of Khiam (Marjayoun) at a pickup truck travelling between the town of Wazzani and the village of Ain Arab, according to L’Orient Today’s correspondent in the region. No casualties were reported. Later in the day, Israeli forces opened fire with medium machine guns from the Radar site towards the outskirts of the town of Shebaa (Hasbaya).
