US and China reduce their tariffs to 30% and 10% respectively

United States and China will reduce their reciprocal punitive tariffs to 30% for Chinese products imported into America and 10% for U.S. products imported into China, U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer explained Monday in Geneva.

After months of a trade war and two days of negotiations this weekend in Geneva, both parties have lowered their tariffs by 115 percentage points for a period of 90 days, while negotiations continue, explained Greer and U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.
