The Druze authorities of Jaramana on Tuesday denounced an "unjustified attack" on the suburb of Damascus, where the minority community has a strong presence and where nighttime clashes with security forces have resulted in at least four deaths, according to an NGO.
In a statement, the local religious authorities said they "strongly denounce the unjustified armed attack on Jaramana which targeted innocent civilians" and hold the Syrian authorities "fully responsible for what happened and any worsening of the situation."
