A military leader of al-Jamaa al-Islamiya, a Lebanese party derived from the Muslim Brotherhood and allied with Hamas, was killed Tuesday morning in an Israeli drone strike in Baaouerta (Aley), about 20 kilometers south of Beirut, according to information from our correspondent Mountasser Abdallah and a security source at AFP.
A source within al-Jamaa al-Islamiya confirmed to L'Orient Today that the victim is Sheikh Hussein Atoui, originally from Hebbariyeh, in the Hasbaya district in southern Lebanon, and a professor at the Lebanese University.
