On Wednesday morning, the Israeli army carried out two drone strikes on vehicles in South Lebanon, killing at least one person and injuring two others, according to local sources and the Lebanese Health Ministry.

In the morning, an Israeli drone struck a pickup truck in Wadi Hojeir, a strategic valley connecting several areas of South Lebanon. The Health Ministry confirmed one death, and the village of Markaba identified the victim as Hussein Abderrahim Younes. The Israeli army claimed it had eliminated "a terrorist from Hezbollah’s al-Radwan force," though it did not name the individual.

Later in the afternoon, another drone targeted a motorbike in Hanine (Bint Jbeil), critically injuring its rider.

These strikes came after a night of heavy bombardments on areas in the Tyre and Bint Jbeil districts. Around 10 p.m., a drone launched three missiles on the “Wadi Tannour” area between Ramieh and Beit Lif. There were no reports of casualties as of Wednesday morning. Flares were also fired over Houla (Marjeyoun district), and after midnight, a drone targeted a rescue center linked to the Amal Movement's Islamic Mission Scouts (al-Rissala) in Tayr Harfa (Tyre district). The Health Ministry condemned the strike, calling it a violation of international law.

On X, Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee stated Wednesday that Israeli forces had "attacked Hezbollah infrastructure in South Lebanon," accusing the group of using civilian infrastructure. He added that the Israeli army would act against any attempt by Hezbollah to rebuild its capabilities.

A strike on a pickup truck in Aitaroun the previous day claimed a second life, 17-year-old Mohammad Baydoun, who succumbed to his injuries. The Israeli army had said the initial target was a Hezbollah commander from its special operations division.

Despite a cease-fire between Israel and Hezbollah that took effect on Nov. 27, Israel continues to carry out near-daily strikes, claiming to target suspected Hezbollah members. According to the U.N., Israeli strikes have killed at least 71 civilians in Lebanon since the truce began. Our tally, which includes both Hezbollah members and civilians, puts the total number of deaths at 138.
