The Lebanese National Anthem echoed Sunday morning at the National Museum of Beirut to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the civil war, reports our colleague Matthieu Karam.

In front of the building, volunteers from the NGO Offre Joie, created in 1985 during the civil war (1975-1990), raised Lebanese flags and set up signs and banners displaying key figures of the conflict. A few bystanders and police officers were also present on site.
