BEIRUT - Lebanese President Joseph Aoun called Wednesday, during a meeting with the CEO of the Kuwaiti telecommunications group Zain, for better cooperation between Lebanon and Kuwait, in economi and investment matters
Aoun met in Baabda with Bader al-Kharafi, whose Zain group has held the management contract of Touch (formerly MTC Touch), one of the two mobile phone operators in Lebanon, for about twenty years. During their conversation, the head of state expressed a desire for "deepening Lebanese-Kuwaiti relations," emphasizing the importance of "energizing them at all levels, especially in terms of economy and investments."
Zain Group is a Kuwaiti telecommunications company with a presence in seven Middle Eastern countries. Kharafi is scheduled to meet with Telecommunications Minister Charles Hage in the morning.
