The Palestinian Red Crescent Society has stated that it is still without news of the nine humanitarian workers, who are members of both the Red Crescent and Gaza’s Civil Defense, and who have been missing since an operation in the Tal al-Sultan neighborhood of Rafah. The organization has accused Israel of deliberately hindering search efforts to locate them, calling for international pressure on Israeli authorities to disclose the fate of the missing workers.

In response, the Israeli military has acknowledged targeting ambulances and fire trucks in southern Gaza after identifying them as “suspicious vehicles.” They clarified that some of these vehicles were later determined to be ambulances and fire trucks. The military condemned the use of ambulances by “terrorist organizations” in Gaza for “terrorist purposes.”

Furthermore, Hamas spokesperson Bassem Naïm has accused Israel of committing a “deliberate and brutal massacre” against the nine humanitarian workers, asserting that their targeted killings violate international humanitarian law, particularly the Geneva Conventions, and constitute a war crime.
