The monthly financial aid for the beneficiaries of the 'Aman' program for March will be transferred from Monday, March 24 to Friday, March 28, 2025, the press office of the Social Affairs Ministry announced Friday.

The number of beneficiaries is 157,162 Lebanese families or 748,952 individuals, and the total amount of funds transferred under the program this month amounts to $18,248,015, the ministry noted.

At the beginning of March, Social Affairs Minister Hanine Sayyed announced that the allocations of the Aman program, aimed at the most vulnerable families in Lebanon, would be extended by five months starting in March.

This emergency social safety net program, funded by the World Bank and launched in 2022 amid Lebanon's economic crisis, has enabled monthly cash transfers to the most deprived families in the country. Sayyed specified that 45 percent of the poor in Lebanon benefit from this program and that she would do "her best to increase the number of beneficiaries." According to her, the Ministry could temporarily increase the number of beneficiary families from 166,000 to 200,000, or even 300,000.
