Amnesty International on Monday urged Syria's new authorities to allow independent international investigators to look into deadly violence that broke out on the country's Mediterranean coast.
"In addition to the government-led investigation, the authorities should grant independent national and international investigators access to Syria, including to Syria's coastal areas, so that they can conduct their own fact-finding work," Amnesty's regional director Heba Morayef said in a statement.
