The General Directorate of Real Estate Affairs released Monday the March 2025 reopening schedule for real estate registries across Lebanon, including Baabda, Chouf, Aley, Metn, Kesrouan and Jbeil.

Head of the Real Estate Syndicate, Walid Moussa, told L’Orient Today that “the good news is that all real estate registries in Lebanon are now fully operational. This step is important if we want investors to buy property in this country.”

Moussa explained that while registries had remained open, they were not fully functional due to staffing shortages caused by retirements that were not replaced amid the country’s crisis — particularly in Mount Lebanon and Metn.

“To address this, public servants from other ministries with excess staff were relocated to real estate registries,” he said. “They are still undergoing training, which is why the registry centers have specific schedules.”

The services provided will include new transactions, issuance of ready-to-pay orders, ownership deeds, and acceptance of lost document compensation requests. Additionally, registries will be open to inquiries from concerned parties or their legal representatives with proper documentation.
