Hezbollah strongly condemned the latest "Israeli-American aggression on Yemen, which targeted civilian facilities in a blatant violation of all international and humanitarian norms and laws," after Israel claimed strikes on infrastructures as a response to a ballistic missile strike on Tel-Aviv.
Hezbollah released a statement criticizing the "continuation of Zionist brutality and an extension of the ongoing war against the peoples of our Arab and Islamic nations, particularly Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria."
Israel’s military launched deadly strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen early Thursday, just hours after the Houthis latest attack on Israel. On Thursday, the Houthis claimed twin missile attacks on Israeli military targets in the Tel Aviv area.
Nine Yemeni people were killed and three others injured in Israeli airstrikes on a port and oil facility near the capital Sanaa, said Nasruddin Amer, deputy head of the Houthi media office, in a post on X. Earlier, Houthi-run Al-Masirah TV said the Israeli strikes targeted the Heyzaz and Dhahban power stations near the capital, and the Hodeidah port and Ras Isa oil facility.
Hezbollah added that the strikes come as "a result of the enemy's failure to achieve its strategic objectives on all fronts," and as the Houthi strikes have "exposed the fragility of its security and military system."
The Houthis have attacked Israel, its allies and vital Red Sea shipping lines in rejection of Israel’s military campaign in Gaza that has killed more than 45,000 Palestinians. The group, which controls Yemen’s most populous regions, say they won’t stop striking Israel and its allies until a cease-fire is reached in the Palestinian enclave, where several human rights organizations have accused Israel of carrying out a genocide.
