Officially, Hezbollah says it is upholding the cease-fire agreement with Israel, based on U.N. Security Council Resolution 1701. It has pledged to withdraw from the south of the Litani River and to allow massive deployment of the Lebanese Army. However, dissonant voices continue to be raised regarding this agreement, particularly at a time when Israel is stepping up its attacks on the Lebanese territory.
