BEIRUT — Israeli violations of the cease-fire agreement with Hezbollah persisted on Sunday, with airstrikes and artillery shelling reported in southern Lebanon, according to L'Orient Today correspondent in the region. The Israeli military also reportedly detonated a building and used a bulldozer to demolish a house in southern Lebanon.
At approximately 3 a.m., Israeli drones overflew Jabal al-Rihane in the Jezzine district, while artillery fire targeted Arnoun and Yohmor in the Nabatieh district.
Two hours later, two Israeli airstrikes struck Yaroun in the Bint Jbeil district, as drones continued to fly over southern Lebanon.
By midday, a Israeli tank shell was fired from Khiam toward the Ebel al-Saqi valley in the Marjayoun district, and gunfire was heard near Maroun al-Ras (Bint Jbeil), seemingly directed toward Bint Jbeil.
A couple of hours later, the Israeli army detonated a building in Khiam and used a bulldozer to demolish a house in Maroun al-Ras.
At around 6:15 p.m., several explosions echoed in the neighborhoods of Mais al-Jabal. Thirty minutes later, four Israeli artillery shells hit the Khiam plain, including a house in the area.
On Sunday, France reported 52 alleged violations of the cease-fire by the Israeli military and accused Israel of circumventing the international committee overseeing compliance with the agreement, according to reports by Israeli outlets Yedioth Ahronoth and i24News.
The cease-fire, brokered by the United States and France, came into effect on Wednesday after more than 13 months of fighting between Israel and Hezbollah.
