An adviser to Iran's Supreme Guide, Ali Larijani, said in an interview that Iran is preparing to “respond” to the latest Israeli attack on its territory on Oct. 26, according to the official Tasnim agency, relayed by Reuters.

By Oct. 26, Israeli fighter jets had carried out three waves of attacks against Iranian military targets, a few weeks after Iran fired a barrage of around 200 ballistic missiles against Israel.

Iran has already pledged to respond to Israeli attacks, while Iranian officials had instead hinted in recent weeks at their willingness to “postpone” retaliation against Israel following the announcement of Donald Trump's victory in the U.S. presidential election on Nov. 6.

This statement comes at a time when Tehran will be holding talks on its nuclear program next Friday with France, Germany and the U.K., three countries which have submitted a text condemning Tehran's alleged lack of cooperation on this issue.

Paris, Berlin and London, in association with Washington, are behind a text critical of Tehran's nuclear program presented at a meeting in Vienna at the headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The text was approved on Thursday by 19 of the 35 member states of the IAEA Board of Governors, provoking the ire of Iran, which announced in retaliation the commissioning of “new advanced centrifuges” for its nuclear program.

In addition to this dossier, Iran will exchange views with France, Germany and the U.K. on the regional and international situation, “including the issues of Palestine and Lebanon,” Iranian diplomatic spokesperson Esmail Baghai said in a statement on Sunday.
