Faced with war in his home country of Syria, Abdallah has stayed in Lebanon as a refugee. With the help of Eddie, a Lebanese winemaker, he’s now selling his own wine in Lebanon, the U.S., Denmark and Japan.

Up on the hilltops of Wadi Qannoubine in northern Lebanon, Abdallah Richi is looking out across a fervently fertile valley, brimming with vines, dwarfed by the imposing mountains behind.
