The Israeli army announced on Saturday that two ''projectiles'' fired from the northern part of the Gaza Strip, where it is conducting a large-scale offensive against Hamas, crashed in southern Israel without causing injuries.
''Following the activation of alert sirens in several communities along the Gaza Strip, two projectiles were detected [entering Israeli territory] from the northern part of the Gaza Strip and crashed in open areas. No casualties were reported,'' the army stated in a press release. These are the first projectiles launched from the Palestinian territory in several weeks.
