According to the Health Ministry, 50 health facilities were damaged, including 15 hospitals, over 150 ambulances were targeted, and 150 health professionals were killed all by Israeli strikes.

“Look, these are a child’s gloves. There could be an entire family buried beneath this!” shouted a rescue worker perched on a pile of rubble that a bulldozer had yet to clear. He and his colleagues had been working non-stop since the early morning, pulling survivors and bodies from the wreckage after an Israeli airstrike leveled three residential buildings on Monday, Oct. 21 at 11 p.m. The buildings, located directly across from the entrance to Rafik Hariri Hospital in Jnah, were in a part of Beirut’s southern suburbs that had largely been spared from Israeli strikes up until then.
