On Wednesday morning, the Israeli army issued evacuation orders for residents of vast neighborhoods in Sour, southern Lebanon, urging locals to leave their homes ahead of a military operation against Hezbollah.
"The warning targets those living in buildings between Hiram, Jaafar Sharafeddine, Abu Deeb, and al-Athar streets. Hezbollah's activities compel the Israeli army to act forcefully, but it has no intention of harming civilians," the army spokesperson stressed.
He called on Sour residents to relocate north of the Awali River, which is nearly 60 kilometers from the Israeli border, warning that "anyone in the vicinity of Hezbollah fighters, installations, and combat resources is putting their life at risk."
This area includes dozens of buildings and is located to the east of the Sour peninsula, bordered by Jaafar Sharafeddine Street to the west, Hiram Street to the north, Abu Deeb Street to the south, and al-Athar Street, which features historic ruins, to the east.
