According to Reuters, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz announced that the Israeli government would take legal action against French President Emmanuel Macron following the announcement on Oct. 15 of the banning of Israeli companies from the Euronaval show to be held in Paris from Nov. 4 to 7.

This announcement angered the Israeli government amid rising diplomatic tensions between Paris and Tel Aviv, particularly since statements made by Emmanuel Macron on Oct. 5 regarding the need to stop arms deliveries to the Jewish state in its war with Gaza.

Mr. Katz also stated that the exclusion of Israeli industries from this major arms fair was a "shame for France" and threatened to take the matter to international courts. Last June, 74 Israeli companies that were to exhibit at the Eurosatory defense fair were already canceled "by decision of the French government authorities."
