⚡ Hezbollah's deputy secretary-general, Naim Qassem concluded his speech.
Naim Qassem: I promise you that you will return home to even more beautiful houses that we will rebuild. We won't let you go, because you won't let us go. And the enemy sees the great people and this great resistance.
Naim Qassem: A message to the displaced: You are the most noble, the most courageous. We are a family. What affects you affects us. We are united in the face of what is happening. We must endure and remain patient, despite the difficulties. And you will return home.
Naim Qassem: A message to the Lebanese people: We have worked to build a united Lebanon. We live together in Lebanon. We have worked to build this country, but Israel hinders our lives with its constant hostilities.
Naim Qassem: We've regained our strength in the field and replaced our cadres. Not one position is vacant. And there is a replacement for the replacements. Hezbollah is strong. Strong in its fighters and its capabilities. Strong in the national unity that has emerged. Strong in the support of the people. Strong by the presence of the Amal movement, our support base, our allies and the government that's cooperating with us.
Naim Qassem: If you're wondering how Hezbollah is doing, I can tell you that it's strong, despite the strikes.
Naim Qassem: They [Israel] hit camps [reference Deir el-Balah refugee camp] Where is the free world? France? The United States? The United Kingdom? Europe? We can't hear them in the face of these crimes.
Naim Qassem: After a cease-fire, the settlers will be able to return to their homes. I say this to the Israelis, don't believe your leaders and what they say about our capabilities.
Naim Qassem: We're going to target the army and barracks. I tell Israel, the only solution is a cease-fire, nothing else. If they want to keep firing, we'll keep firing.
🔴 Naim Qassem: Warning sirens sounded everywhere [in Israel], people rushed to shelters, Ben Gurion airport closed. And it will continue. Since Israel has targeted the whole of Lebanon, we have the right to target the whole of Israel.
Naim Qassem: A week ago, we decided to hurt the enemy. So we're targeting Haifa and beyond Haifa, as the Sayyed [Hassan Nasrallah] wanted. And we've also targeted Tel Aviv. Last Sunday, Israel admitted to 100 casualties.
Naim Qassem: In the field, we are on the front line, in the border villages. Yaroun, Kfar Kila, and others. The aim of the Resistance is not to be permanently present along the entire border. It's to counter the enemy army when it enters our territory.
Naim Qassem: Sept. 17 and the beeper explosions were the first stage in Israel's new confrontation with Lebanon. Since then, we've entered a new phase: Israeli aggression against Lebanon. We no longer are a support front for Gaza. It became a war on Lebanon.
Naim Qassem: We're not afraid of death. The enemy is bankrupt. Now they've started killing Lebanese army soldiers and peacekeepers. And today, they're attacking churches and mosques, and humanitarian convoys.
Naim Qassem: Can't you see that Israel is the entity that massacres and commits crimes? If we don't stand up to Israel, it will get its way. They kill women, children and families. Then, they just need to threaten this or that village, and the people leave. Because they fear massacres.
Naim Qassem: We support the Palestinians to liberate their land and protect ours.
Naim Qassem: Israel only got out of Lebanon thanks to the resistance. In 2006, the enemy failed in its operation. Lebanon is part of Israel's expansionist project.
Naim Qassem: America is the biggest demon. They want a new Middle East. Israel is the armed and criminal arm of the great devil's project. Israel is similarly now saying it wants a new Middle East. We face the danger of a new Middle East.
⚡ Naim Qassem: You cannot separate Lebanon from Palestine.
*In his previous speech, the party's deputy secretary-general did not make the connection between a cease-fire in Lebanon to that in Gaza.
Naim Qassem: We will defeat our enemies and drive them out of our lands. Israel represents a real danger to the region and the world. It's a widespread occupation that doesn't stop at Palestine. [Israel also wants to appropriate] Arab regions.

On the diplomatic front, Mikati emphasized, "There have been attempts in the [U.N.] Security Council to declare a cease-fire [in Lebanon], but they have not yet been finalized."
When asked about U.N. Resolution 1559 — adopted in 2004 and calling for the disarmament of all militias in Lebanon, among other things — Mikati said, "There is no need to raise the issue of Resolution 1559 at this moment because it remains a source of division among the Lebanese."
